1. What we collect

Kalvi.AI collects minimal data to provide the tutoring service:

• Student name, class, roll number, and school code (entered during onboarding)
• Questions asked to Vidhu (our AI tutor) — used to generate answers
• Saved replies (only if student chooses to save an answer)
• Topic search logs (anonymous, used to improve the product)

2. What we do NOT collect

• No Aadhaar numbers or government ID data
• No location data
• No contact information (phone, email)
• No payment information (the app is free)
• No photographs or camera data

3. How we use data

Data collected is used solely to:

• Provide personalised AI tutoring responses
• Save student progress and replies
• Improve the accuracy of Vidhu's answers over time

4. Data storage

All data is stored securely on Supabase (supabase.com), hosted in secure cloud infrastructure. We do not sell or share student data with any third party.

5. Children's privacy

Kalvi.AI is designed for students aged 10 and above. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for the app to function. Schools and parents are responsible for ensuring appropriate use.

6. Third-party services

• Google Gemini API — used to generate AI tutoring responses. Questions are sent to Google's servers to generate answers. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com
• Supabase — used for data storage. See supabase.com/privacy

7. Data deletion

Students or schools can request deletion of their data by contacting us at vthejaswin@tvpstudios.co.in. We will delete all associated data within 7 business days.
